Coins & Currency
Estate coins, currency, and numismatic finds.
US and world coins, silver certificates, and old paper currency. Every listing notes grade estimates and any known provenance.
Estate coins and currency arrive ungraded and unsorted. We describe what we can see and photograph both sides at high resolution rather than assigning grades we are not qualified to certify.
What to look for in coins & currency
- Date and mint mark
- The small letter beside or below the date frequently decides the value.
- Silver content
- US dimes, quarters and halves dated 1964 and earlier are 90% silver.
- Cleaning
- A cleaned coin has unnatural brightness and hairline scratches, and is worth notably less.
- Currency folds
- Centre folds, corner rounding and pinholes drive paper money grades down quickly.
How we list coins & currency
We do not slab or certify. Any grade mentioned is an estimate, and raw coins are priced as raw coins.
Coins and notes ship in protective flips or sleeves inside a rigid mailer with tracking.
Common questions
Are your coins graded?
No. We describe them honestly as raw, ungraded estate coins with detailed photographs of both sides.
Should I clean an old coin?
Never. Cleaning is one of the fastest ways to destroy numismatic value.
Which US coins contain silver?
Dimes, quarters and half dollars dated 1964 and earlier are 90% silver, along with 40% silver halves from 1965–1970.
