Accessibility Statement

This statement is maintained by Legacy Estate Collective and describes the accessibility of this website. It is a statement of our own practices and goals, not a third-party conformance audit.

1. Our commitment

We want anyone to be able to browse estate finds, read a condition report, and reach us — regardless of how they use the web. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as an ongoing goal and treat accessibility issues as bugs, not enhancements.

2. What we've done

• Semantic headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate page structure.
• Keyboard access for navigation, the mobile menu, forms, and item detail dialogs, with visible focus styles.
• Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast against our cream and deep-green palette.
• Descriptive alt text on site imagery and labeled form fields with inline error messaging.
• Responsive layouts that reflow to a single column and support browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
• Reduced-motion preferences respected for animated elements.

3. Known limitations

• eBay listing feed: live listings are rendered by a third-party feed. We restyle it for contrast and spacing, but some markup, image alt text, and control labels come from eBay and AuctionNudge and are outside our control.
• Listing photography: item photos originate from our eBay listings; their alt text is derived from the listing title rather than a full visual description.
• Bot protection: the Turnstile challenge on forms is provided by Cloudflare and follows their accessibility implementation.

4. Alternative ways to shop with us

• Email us for a plain-text description, measurements, condition notes, or extra photos of any item.
• Ask us to place an offer or answer a question on your behalf if a form is inaccessible to you.
• Request our current inventory as a simple list rather than the visual grid.

5. Reporting a barrier

Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using through our contact page. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and to fix issues we control as quickly as we reasonably can.

6. Ongoing review

We review new pages and components for keyboard access, contrast, and screen-reader structure before release, and we re-check the site after significant design changes. This statement is updated as those reviews find and resolve issues.
