Shipping Policy

This policy applies to purchases from the Legacy Estate Collective eBay storefront and is offered in addition to — not in place of — eBay's own shipping and buyer-protection policies. The handling time, shipping service, and insurance for a specific order are shown on that item's eBay listing; where this page and a listing differ, the listing governs.

1. Where we ship from

All orders ship from our fulfillment location in the United States. We do not operate a warehouse outside the U.S. and do not drop-ship from third parties.

2. Handling time

Handling time is shown on each eBay listing. We aim to get orders packed and out the door promptly, but the number of business days between payment and shipment can vary by item, so please check the listing (or your order confirmation) for the specific handling time that applies to what you bought.

3. Carriers and service levels

We route each order to the carrier and service level best suited to its size, value, and destination — commonly USPS, UPS, or FedEx. The service level, and any option to upgrade to expedited shipping, is shown on the listing and at checkout.

4. Tracking

Every order includes tracking. The tracking number is uploaded to your eBay order and emailed by eBay automatically once the label is generated. Please allow some time for the carrier's first scan to appear.

5. Packaging standards

Because our inventory is largely vintage, one-of-a-kind, or fragile, we pack conservatively — cushioned and boxed appropriately for the item type (jewelry, china and glass, paper ephemera, and so on) — and reuse clean packing materials whenever possible to reduce waste.

6. Insurance and signature confirmation

Whether an order ships insured, and whether it requires a signature on delivery, is shown on the eBay listing for that item and reflects the shipping service selected there. If you'd like to confirm the insurance or signature terms for a specific order before you buy, please ask us.

7. Shipping to APO/FPO and P.O. boxes

We ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses via USPS where available. P.O. boxes are accepted for USPS shipments only; UPS and FedEx require a physical street address.

8. International orders

Most eligible listings ship worldwide through eBay's Global Shipping Program or eBay International Shipping. Under those programs, we ship the item to eBay's shipping hub within our handling window, and eBay's forwarding partner handles export, customs paperwork, and final delivery. Duties, taxes, and import fees are collected by eBay at checkout or by the carrier on delivery, and are the buyer's responsibility. Delivery windows for international orders vary by destination and customs processing.

9. Combined shipping

Buy multiple items and we'll gladly look at combining shipping wherever possible. Request an updated invoice before paying, or message us through eBay, and we'll let you know what's possible for those specific listings.

10. Lost, delayed, or damaged shipments

Please message us as soon as you notice a problem:

• Delayed: if tracking hasn't moved in a while, let us know and we'll look into a carrier trace.
• Damaged: please report it promptly — ideally within a few days of delivery — with photos of the box, packing materials, and item, so we can help with a carrier claim. This is a request to help resolve things quickly; it does not shorten your eBay return window or buyer protection under the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
• Lost: once a shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, we'll work with you on a refund or replacement consistent with the listing's terms and eBay's policies.

11. Address changes

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If your address changes, contact us before the order ships. Once a label is generated we cannot reroute a shipment without carrier intervention and a possible fee.

12. Holiday and peak-season handling

Carrier networks can slow down during peak periods such as the winter holidays. We continue to ship within our normal handling window, but carrier transit time is outside our control and may run longer than usual during those periods. If a delivery date matters, ask us before you buy so we can point you to an appropriate shipping service on the listing.

13. Severe weather and carrier delays

Weather events, natural disasters, and carrier network disruptions occasionally cause delays outside our control. In those cases we monitor tracking and communicate proactively when we notice a problem.

14. Restricted destinations and items

We do not ship to embargoed or sanctioned countries, or to destinations where a specific item's export is restricted. Some fragile or oversized items cannot ship internationally and are marked accordingly in the listing. We do not ship hazardous materials or items containing regulated substances.

15. Duties, taxes, and import fees (international)

International buyers are responsible for all import duties, VAT/GST, customs fees, and brokerage charges assessed by the destination country. Where eBay collects these at checkout, they appear as a separate line item; otherwise the carrier collects on delivery.

16. Gift orders

Add a note to your order and we'll do our best to keep pricing off the packing slip and wrap the item thoughtfully. Gift orders can also be shipped directly to a recipient's address; any post-delivery return would still need to be handled by the original buyer through eBay.

17. Delivery to secure buildings

For apartments, condos, gated communities, or offices, please add unit/suite/gate information to the shipping address. Carriers occasionally return parcels when access is limited; a reshipment may incur additional postage.

18. Environmental practice

We reuse clean boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap wherever possible and consolidate multi-item orders into a single shipment when it's safe to do so.
